Now, I'm told my car will not arrive at the dealership until 11/27! I ordered my S4 on July 10th! Yes, it's a special order color, but we're talking about nearly 6 months to get this car. Although not obligated, should the dealer make any amends for keeping me waiting so long. I should note that I ordered the car in Dolphin on 7/3, then changed my order a week later. Rather than cancelling the Dolphin car, he ordered the Northern Blue car a week later, and told me that he had a buyer for the Dolphin car (which he didn't) and allocations were no problem. The Dolphin car came in 3 weeks ago,and still on the lot to my knowledge, but in retrospect the dealer tells me that they only had one allocation, so I just keep waiting. Yeah, they'll throw in a cargo net, but what else should they do? I've waited this long, a few more weeks doesn't matter that much. Just delaying car payments!

Dealer said there was a shortage of carbon fiber to be supplied to the Audi, Lamborghini, Bugatti and Bentley vehicles. The car was pushed back a total of two weeks for this. I don't know how or why yours was pushed back, but that might have something to do with it.

As far as getting something from the dealer goes, if you haven't already asked for Audi Care program, you might want to do that. Also, just say you need more off of the car (~$1000) if they want to keep your business. I don't know if you have any attachment to this dealer but have you thought about reordering at another dealer and demanding your deposit back? I ordered my car, waited, got the car pushed back a few weeks and I am still going to have it in a shorter period of time than just you recent push back. I would switch...

My sympathies. Seems like your order saga has gone on about as long as the TDI teasing we've been subjected to lately. Six months is an awfully long time to wait, though, and I would hold out for AudiCare, rubber mats, trunk liner, safety triangle AND cargo net!

but they agreed to call their Audi AG contact to find out the precise status. I'll update this - I think asking for the AudiCare to be included isn't unreasonable, but I doubt they'll do it. Maybe by threatening to cancel the order, they'll give some on this point.

...I ordered my RS4 in May 2005, which was about 10 months before the first US spec cars were built. Took delivery June 2006.
