Will the RS4 only be available this year, or the years to come as well like the way it is for the S4, and anyone have any idea if the S6 or RS6 coming out will ever be availabe in manual tranny? Thanks

"I thought you may like to hear about the week I have just spent in Germany with a friend who has a new B7 RS4. He has never had an RS4 before. I currently have a B5 RS4.
We spent the week comparing both cars on autobahns and country roads. Here is our joint verdict."<ul><li><a href="http://www.rs246.com/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=5 2464&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0" >http://www.rs246.com/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=5 2464&postdays=0&postorder=asc&am

over the B5 RS4 all day. Granted, I have never driven either, however, the B7 S4 chasis and everything else I pointed out above and far superior to the B5 S4. So, like for like the B7 would have many more positive factors IMO. With one exception....power. The B7RS4 just seems like it should have waaaaaay more torque. I mean 307ftlbs? The S4 has 306!!

No stick for the new RS 6. However, the new RS 6 (with is super low production volumes) might be the only version of the current A6 (on the C6 platform that is) to get the longitudinal DL700 7-speed DSG by Borg Warner with a maximum capacity of 516 lbs/ft of torque. Unfortunately, April/Vergegrrl might be right about lesser versions of the current A6 (including the S6) not getting DSG. The V10 in the new RS 6 (which will be normally aspirated with an 8,000-8,500 RPM redline and have 5.5L of displacement) will produce either 420, 428 or 435 lbs/ft of torque, well short of the DL700 7-speed DSG's maximum capacity.
