spit out parts faster than the RS4 would if it were driven at 9-10 tenths of its capacity....

In Europe, many magazines received RS4's with race rubber.
I know some Ford SVT guys, and the "test" cars they showed me were often "ringers" with no cats and other tweaks.
Mercedes once sent an SL 55 AMG with like an SLR motor or something crazy.
I've also heard Porsche has sent X50 packaged cars and claimed otherwise.
It's all a big game.
