Default RS4 Power & More in your B7 S4 - Supercharger Anyone?

I am looking for information on reasonably priced supercharger options for the B7 S4. There is limited info on the web about this. Please share comments and/or experience.

Limited info I could find so far...

Motodyne and MTM have kits but very expensive ($20K & more for 450bhp! Seems to me it would make more sense to trade my S4 for an RS4 before investing that kind of money)

During the Summer several supercharger kits are supposed to be released; 480 bhp APR (~$8K), PES Tuning/GIAC (~$5K), and VF-Engineering/GIAC (?K) all have kits in the works.

Motordyne LOL! Great option if you want less than stock power.

Sounds like you already know as much as everyone else does.

Default PES is only $5K? That's news to me. I already heard about APR being about $8K...

Do you know if PES's SC will have the same performance gains as APR? If they're close, PES might be the way to go.

PES plans on no intercooler (5-6psi). If they find they need one the est. price will go up.

Default There is little info on the web because there is only one reliable system out there now.. MTM's

APR is the only other company to show any real progress, although who knows how reliable they will end up being. I will personally ait about a year after they are put on the road before I would feel comfortable putting one in my car without the fear of blowing my engine. Thats just me though. MTM is the only company who has had kits on the road for about a year and a half now. No problems that I have heard about yet.

They are probably doing that so they can have different stages for the sc as they did with the r32.

Default Given that MTM's kit has been available for over a year, I'd say they're the ones with the least...

amount of information available on the web. Also, MTM has a really nice kit, but equivalent kits sell for at least $7-8K less for Mercedes and have more substantial power gains. Without a decrease in price or some sort of "marketing" it can't be justifiably purchased IMO. Especially when APR is just 2 weeks away...

Default APR's supercharger for the B7 S4 should be available on 7-1-06.

There's an Audi specialist not far from where I live and they swear by APR. $8K installed. Contact them for more info. I'm planning on supercharging my B7 as soon as it's out of warranty.

http://www.2bennett.com</a
