Default RS4 Question about "sport mode"

Please ask your dealer. The euro verson of the RS4, when you hit the sport button will tighten the seat and make the acceleration better, along with making the car sound better.

The form coming from the dealer says all the button does is make the exhaust sound better. Is this the case, has more than the interior of the car been touched in the US version?

It does NOT make the car accelerate harder...only changes the throttle response.

Probably not. I bet the US version gets it. I have no proof though.

It will still have it. Look a few posts down it does show it on the standard features.

Default it probably does the same thing as on the 911

On my 997S with sport exhaust, when you hit the sport chrono button, the throttle response sharpens, exhaust gets louder, and active suspension turns on. It does not improve acceleration.

Similar to the 'Sport' mode on the TIP, holds the shift points longer too.

What "shift points"? RS4 only comes in manual.

Default Well, when I said it, I 'knew I would be in trouble'. :-) The throttle is more sensitized.....

per your post, and in my TIP the shift points are much higher, too, and yes, the RS is 6-speed manual (assuming we all know)...the driver gets the sensitized throttle. I added the shift points statement as a caveat for TIPSTER owners. Got to keep on my toes here. 8^)
