S4-2004, I think that throttle problem is *real*.

The only issue I have noticed might be a weird one. If the car is rolling over 20 to 25mph and you drop it in neutral, let the clutch out, and let the rpms drop to 1000 or 1500, you will have a very hard time revving the engine (just use quick taps on the pedal as if you were trying to rev the engine to 2500 rpm and it goes nowhere) until you step in on the clutch and then you can rev easily. This does NOT happen when stopped or rolling VERY slowly. Someone please give it a try and let me know if I am nutz!

When I do double-declutch (what I do since 20 years) while shifting down the car sometimes accelerates instead of beeing retarded by the engine! Could you imagine what kind of feeling this is when you're coming close to the car in front of you, shifting down to retard and you're coming even closer. This isn't funny and I had to brake hard in some cases to prevent a crash.
I really don't know if that has something to do with the timing of shifting, clutch and throttle position. I'll keep an eye on it and let you know if I figure out how it is related to each other.
