Default S4 rear sway bar versus RS4 rear sway bar

I purchased a RS4 rear sway bar 22mm cheap up grade I thought and installed it. When I pulled the old sway bar off I noticed that the sway bar from my car was the same size as the RS4 sway bar. Does any one have the specs. Later today I am going to measure both of them.

I want to say ours stock is 20mm, but measuring would be the best bet.

Default I don't recall measureing them, but there are two rear sways for the RS4. I did this upgrade last..

spring and the difference is quite obvious just looking at them. Perhaps you got the wrong sway. I know when I got mine that there was one that was identical to what the S4 had and one that was larger. If you don't see the different when you look at them, then I'd say you got the wrong one, without a doubt.

Well I measured the one that I took off the car it is 22.05mm using a caliper. I guess I will check and see if there is a larger sway for the RS4 B7. I took a quick look at the tag I took off the part and it is the correct part number for the sway bar. I guess I will call the dealership in the morning and see what else I can find out.

Interesting. Is your car used?

Maybe it's been replaced or something. I originally got my info from here I think:

I put a B6 S4 rear sway on my A4, and it is 20mm. I thought B7 S4 was the same.

Went to dealership had them measure the bar after I did it is a 22mm Rear Sway bar that I pulled off the car. I bought the car with 22 miles on last year. I guess some one was nice to me when they built the car and upgraded the bar. This weekend if I get the time I am going to measure the front sway bar and see what size that is.

FWIW....went to have the RS4 rear sway installed today on my B7 S4. Same experience, both were 22mm. So I left the stock one on and will try to return the RS4 bar. I wonder if Audi changed this up for 2007??
