Default 8,000 miles and it's been more reliable than by B5 was.

One minor issue with the fuel level sending unit, but it was promptly replaced and I was given a nice loaner car to drive while it was being serviced.

Some of the early build cars had trans and engine problems, but as far as I know, all of those problems were resolved under warranty as well.

Default 8000 miles 0% problems for me

Remember even the supposedly most reliable cars on the market (Lexus?) have nearly 100 problems per 100 cars. Which means chances are even if you buy the most reliable brand of car you WILL have a problem.

Default Re: 8400 miles and issues as follows

1-had carpet replaced..(got worn out quick in 1 spot)
2-new fuel pump and filter (went bad)
3-new right mirror( kept blowing fuse #22)waiting to install next week
4-missfires on cyl #7 waiting on results next week when tech comes back from training. so far its looking like an engine replace..
all i can say is i love my car but if its in the shop more than 30 days within the first year im gonna lemon it. or do a buy back. i went through many problems with my b5 a4 and s4 to start again.
all these things started to happen like 750 miles ago........

Default I've had one problem that in no way affected driveability. Other than that...

which was fixed promptly, the car has been great. No car is perfect. Well, Lexus is pretty near perfect. But if you go to any other enthusiast's forum, you'll see that people have problems with their cars. It's just a fact of life. The early problems with the new S4 have, for the most part, been addressed by Audi.

Default 850 miles and the car in the shop for 4 days now. Same as my TT.

I am very disappointed with Audi. There is no excuse for a 2-week old car(850 miles) to have tranny probelms.

Worst of all, the level of technical expertise or lack of it is amazing. The dealer and AoA have no clue as to what is wrong with the car.

Driving a Jeep Liberty as a loaner and it sucks big time. So far I have to give Audi an "F" for being a major F*ck up.

Default Have you called and opened a case with AoA?

Unless you have your beef is with the dealer. Once you open a case with AoA things change a little. More pressure is applied to the dealer. I was told not having my car for 2 weeks a month into owning it was acceptable to my dealer, AoA said otherwise and gave me back what I paid for those 2 weeks.
