Default S4 to RS4

I have been thinking about making the jump from S4 to the RS4. Any thoughts?? It is just that the inetrior looks so much like the S4. Is the extra 80 hps worth the extra 20 Grand? I have put out some quote requests from some local dealers I guess I will see what happens. I have to say that the test drive was awesome

Default My thoughts: Check out the upcoming S5 (Nov this year) or wait for the b8 2009 models...

I know the RS4 is a class unto itself, but it's "old technology" based on a platform design that's about 7 yrs old. The S5 (for $15K less) will introduce new technologies and design philosophies from Audi.
The 2009 models will be introduced early, mid 2008.
Besides, do you really NEED 420 HP...lol.

Default Heed this advice; my feelings are the same towards a S4 > RS4 jump...

yes, the RS4 is nice but in a few months after you have it, and see the S5 (and probably new S4) on the road, I think you'll be kicking yourself.

Believe me, every time I get service on my S4 I drool in the showroom when I see the RS4, but each time I manage to talk myself out of it.

I do have to give Audi credit -- this time, the first model to debut is the S5, with the A5 coming a few months later. Much better than the past, where the "cheap" model was out 2 years before the S.

Default What I really NEED is not 420 HP, but 500 HP...

From an M6, but how can I go back to BMW and drive butt ugly cars? Besides 100K+ price tag is also a consideration...

Default I've been considering the same for some time now.

And driving a car whose interior is basically the same as mine would make me feel like I'm driving the same car. It has a fantastic engine but less torque than my modified car and it weighs 100lbs more than mine did stock, not to mention how much more it weighs than mine lightened. As much as I love the RS4, I'm gonna wait till the B8s come out. Till then, I'm waiting for the SC to come out. It'll be out in........

Default Get a Z06 Vette and look at 99.9% of every Euro car in your rearview mirror.

Performance to dollar ratio, there is nothing even close.

Default I don't concurr. :(

RS4 is a waste of money and not worth more then 5 grand over the S4.

And yes I have driven the car on more then a test drive.

Default So you do concurr then.

We're saying we can't justify the jump to the RS4 from the S4.
