Help! I am close to getting a car and am having trouble deciding between the S4 cabriolet and the Lexus SC430.
The Lexus has the reliability and the nicer interior for front seat riders. Also, the hardtop convertible is nicer. However, it really has no real rear seat and very little trunk space. Also the ride has less of a sports feel.
On the otherhand, the Audi has the AWD, a sportier ride, and larger backseat and trunk space. But the reliability is average.
Since I keep my cars for their life(usally 10-15 years) I am worried about Audi's reliability over the long haul.
Can you good folks give me pros/cons I may be missing on my comparison. Also, it would help to hear from those of you who are long-term owners of Audi's and how things went for you in the way of reliability in years 5 and on. How many problems and what type of upkeep costs?
Thanks much in advance.

I do not put a lot of miles on per year. Only about 8,000 per year, so 10-15 is 80-120,000 miles. Seems to me a car of these types should be built for more miles.

S4 no question... it's more real world usable as well over the SC430...
at least it will still look good in 10 years... unlike the Lex... :-(
i can't comment on reliability of either make as i have little to no experience with either...
