I agree with you, I believe the Audi S4 will still look good in 10 years, while the SC430 will likley age worse. I forgot to add that to my Audi pros list earlier.

I currently have a 04 S4 but previously I owned a 02 SC430. They are different cars. If you want a smooth, fun to drive fast, not in your face 4 seat performance car, pick the S4. If you want a cool hardtop on a heavy but gorgeous car with awful suspension and NO, I repeat, NO back seat, go for the SS430. Reliability isn't a factor. They are both good.

When you say reliability is not an issue, did you own an Audi past the warrenty period? If so, how many years did you own the car? Thanks for the info.
Regarding the suspension, I hear many SC owners swapped off the OEM run-flats replacing with good performance tires and the harsh ride disappeared. However, they were then required to store a spare is the already small trunk.
Finally, I agree, the S4 rides with a sportier more responsive feel.

My parents have the SC430 and though it is a fun car, it does not have the get-go that the S4 has. Though it depends on what you are looking for. The nav is sweet in the Lexus, but the back seat sucks. Owning 6 Lexuses up until now, I can say they have never had a problem. Either way I am sure you will be happy.
