Default Seat memory problem?

The memory on my drivers seat refuses to move the seat back; it will move the seat forward and all other adjustments, just not move the seat back. Is this normal or something I should have the dealer look at?

My wife and I are very different heights so every time I get in and push my button, I have to manually move the seat back. If I move the seat too far back and hot my button, the car will happily move it forward.

Default Had same problem I thought

Thought I had the same problem on my 07 S4. Made an appointment with service dept. was told it was some module. To make this story short, wasn't that and was later told that the memory doesn't control the back of the seat. Since I'm the only person driving the car it wasn't a problem, but I think I was given a bunch of crap.
It will be interesting to see what others here say.

You were definitely given a load of crap. I had the same problem with my seats within the first few months of owning the car. When I brought it into the dealer they told me they reset the seat module and it has worked correctly ever since (about 2 years now).

Default My S4 Cab won't let memory work if the seat is pushed all the way forward. Once it is more than...

two inches back from full forward, the memory functions work fine. I just assumed a cable was getting stretched or some other stupid problem. I am the only driver, but I do move the seat up for rear seat passengers, so it does annoy me a bit. If anyone knows a quick fix that is not too pricey, I'll do it, otherwise I just use the normal controls to move to the approximate position I want and then use memory from there to fine tune.

Default Resetting seat module?

Is this something that can be done via VAG-COM? My seat memory issue doesn't bother me, but it started occurring at the same time as my seat heater stopped working, and now I wonder if the same issue causes both problems. I'd love to know if/how that can be done. I really need to get a copy of the Bentley CD...
