serpentine belt making noise?
my 04 S4 has nearly 50k and runs smooth, but lately I have noticed that it sounds like the fan belt- er... serpentine belt- may need replacement. it makes kind of rackety slap-slap sound at idle. could it be something else? how much would it cost to have the dealer replace it? thanks.

Just had mine replaced Monday . . .
Unfortunately / fortunately they found it while doing other service so I threw money at the problem.
Not covered under CPO - they consider this maintanence. If I can read my bill correctly, cost me $250. Of that, labor was $220.
