Default Serpentine belt replacement question

Reading the bentley manual, I can't figure out if I will need to remove the bumper to replace the serpentine belt and tensioner.

Anyone have experience with doing this? What is to be expected? I can't seem to find a good writeup anywhere to simply explain the steps.

Default well, the bumper doesn't "have" to come off, but a few key tools will help...

my belt broke off on my way to jackson hole. i thought i might be able to get back home the following day, but didn't get out of jackson and everything closes at noon on Saturday. I didn't have my usual basic tools i take on a road trip so life was even tougher. I was glad to meet a rolling mechanic fella that was willing to lend some tools and help out a bit. after a few hours of messing with it underneath trying to get it threaded on, it slipped on and i was able to get the tensioner tightened enough to keep the belt, that was a size too small (they didn't have the right at the one store that was still open), from slipping off.

needless to say, it was not fun, but i found out that it could be done, luckily, with the bumper still on. I can't say that i would recommend it because it was tiiiiiigggggghhhhhhhtttttttt.
