Default I really like that. I was rear ended when stationary at traffic lights.
The guy was simply not awake. Fortunately it was a low speed impact and I wasn't hurt.

Now I have a baby on the way I think this is a really good cheap mod.

I wasn't aware of anything like this and have never seen it in the UK. I'm sure a lot of UK forum users will be interested.

Default On the autobahn, people hit the hazards for slow traffic or when they are crawling...
Why can't we do the same here, it would make things so much safer?

Default I know the center lamp is made up of LEDs. Like you said, too bad the mains aren't too.
LEDs turn on and off so abrubtly that they really catch your eye. A real safety advantage IMO. Sorry to hear about your fender bender.
