tests show the spray does not work, my polarized plate failed me
I mean "my friend" got photographed with the polarized SuperProtector licence plate cover. The spray is apparently relabled clear gloss and has not been shown to work.
Laws regarding these countermeasures are written vaguely enough that it is pretty much at an officers discretion to ticket them. Obviously if they defeat photo you can't get a photo ticket for it. The law says that the plate must be "legible" which to me means 'able to be read', not 'able to be photographed'.
