So why does new RS4 have cross-drilled brake rotors if they crack?

I'd think they'd go with slotted.

oh yea, slotted = VERY FAST pad wear.

Default Crack, really. I have them on the Pcar, used on the track with race pads, no cracking.

Rotors have 60k miles one them. They will need changing this summer, but not because of cracking.

Default Porsche rotors are cast with the holes....they're not 'drilled'

not sure if Audi is using that same technology (via license?) for the perforated rotors on the RS4.
