Everyone note, the S4 is a 3+ year old car in the U S and A.
If the tunability of the 335 weren't there, it would definitely not be as big of a deal as it is for the 40k+ cost. It would just be following the standard in the industry at this point in terms of bang for the buck.

Guys, as much as we don't want to admit it
we are now down to comparing the S4 against the 335i. And I believe that it is justified in terms of price, number of doors(there are 2 and 4 dr 335is), performance and (March release)All wheel drive. Since there is no 2007 M3 we really can't compare it against any other current BMW car. The 2008 M3 will be a V8 with 400-450 hp( no one seems to know the exact figure at this time). Rumor has it that it will be priced higher than an S4 and lower than an RS4. Performance wise, the M3 will challenage or exceed that of the RS4. So until the B8s come out, it is S4 vs 335i not S4 vs M3.

they got some real morons on there..."isn't the s4 the fastest audi available", "audi's are for
winters only...
1.8t's are slow....
and i love this signature: BMW=BringsMoreWomen...haha, i think that A4toS4 overthere ;-)
And the biggest reasonn i hate bmw owners is that they think just because you have an audi or a lexus YOU CAN NOT afford a bmw. Please, i guess they never heard of personal preferences.

Maybe it's not the BMW owners but you that has a problem in attitude?
I wouldn't generalise and I would always keep an open mind toward others. If you really tried you'd be surprised how many nice BMW guys thier are.
