Default Some Nogaro **** from the weekend. I never made it to the second coat of wax either!

Either way drove about 100 miles in the last 24 hours since the great cleaning. Other then dusting it off, it just looks unreal. It was worth the 6-7 hours I spent doing this. It could use another coat of wax just to really seal it in well, but its a pretty tiring exercise.

I washed, then used meguiars clay bar. It took close to two hours to clay bar the car.

Washed it again, to get any residuals off. Then used meguiars 3 step system.

Step 1 is the Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner which removed light swirls and preps for step 2 and wax.

Step 2 is deep crystal polish.

At this point Brian took a ride with me to hear my exhaust and mentioned that car already looked wax after the second step. I didn't finish until dark :-(

I skipped step 3 and went with Zymol wax instead of meguiars wax.

Here are the results:

The last link is to a super high res pic. Those of you with high speed will appreciate. You can see the twigs of a tree in the reflection off the hood. :-)

BrianG could probably speak to the look before the wax....<ul><li><a href="http://www.dapracomputing.com/DSCN4354.JPG">high res shot of the hood reflection....</a></li></ul>

Default Looks fantastic - why no Zymol from the start?

<center><img src="http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i91/AudiAdvocate/101_0119.jpg"></center><p>I've never used Zymol myself - Meguiars is always the first choice - shown here - is Zymol worth the $$?

p.s. - don't forget the Tire dressing!

Cheers

Default Zymol makes some of the best waxes in the world...

If you've heard Paul Dalton, he is that guy that charges 10k in england to clean up supercars, thats actually his wax of choice.

Zymol Royale is that really rare wax of choice that he uses....<ul><li><a href="http://thecarmudgeon.blogspot.com/2006/11/wash-and-wax-sir.html">http://thecarmudgeon.blogspot.com/2006/11/wash-and-wax-sir.html</a</li></ul>

Default The pics don't do it justice.... The car looked showroom perfect before the wax....

And if you ran your hand over the paint, it felt very smooth as if there were a couple coats of wax already. The clay bar really seemed to do the trick. I couldn't stick around to see the results of waxing, but I'm sure it was amazing.

Thanks for the ride to check out the exhaust. I'm going to be very happy with the AWE NR...

See you around town...
