Default Still time and spaces available for the March Nurburgring trip!!!

The deadline is approaching however (February 2nd)!

If you like track events, this is the ultimate in track events! 14.5 miles and 185+ turns of the most famous race track in the world, in a German car lover's automotive nirvana. We will also visit either the Porsche factory or Audi factory (depending on a vote by trip attendees).

Prices have been finalized and have come under our original estimates (which are quoted on the website). Single occupancy is $1750, and double occupancy is $1500, so bring a friend or significant other to save a good amount of $. ;-)

All hotels and breakfasts as well as factory tour admission and a 10 lap Ring pass are covered in the costs. We allow you to make your own car and flight reservations so you may take advantage of any frequent flier awards you may have available.

Feel free to email Mike S. at mikessp@ameritech.net or myself at swifty_s4@hotmail.com with any questions!

Me at the Ring in an A3 last year:

Default In 02 paid $1378 for 24 days in a Opel Astra Conv 1.8l, no A/C 5sp from Avis...

plus $800 in premium gas. MB SLK's were going for $599 a wk, boxsters $799 a wk, probably around $1k a wk as bad as the euro is? and $7+ a gallon for premium.

Default It doesn't take anything exotic to have a good time there.

We were very happy with the 2.0tdi A3 we rented (diesel is much cheaper and we were getting 35mpg+ on the track!). It handled well and had plenty of get up and go. I don't have my visa statements from then handy, but I would think an A3 or Golfof the like would probably be about $350-$400 for the trip duration. A 3 series or C Class would be about $5-550. A Z4 would be $600. I looked up the prices on sixt.com. There are other companies, Hertz, National, etc...

Default Eh. It's at the bottom of her original post.

Also, if you click the blue link to "leslie" near the top of her post it'll pop up your default mail tool with her address right there.

Default Hmmm. That's interesting. I'm usually using Netscape...

The reasoning is a bit convoluted, but there it is. Netscape just launches a Netscape mail composition window. I forget how I set that up, but I am sure I did long ago. IE can also be set to launch whatever mail tool you want. Mine lanuches Eudora.
