true, but most theives dont care about that...
...they just want to get it quickly...prying it off with a screwdriver would do it quickly <shiver>

keep an eye out for your badge on another car....
...they might just be dumb enough to steal something from someone they live near and then display it on their car....

I saw a black S4 about a month ago in CA with 2 sets of badges on either side of the trunk...
I don't know about that. Maybe he wanted to keep things uniform and put a badge on both sides...

This is the second post that has adressed this problem
It appears that some owners want to remove their badges to make their S4 more stealthy. It also seems that some A4 drivers might want to put S4 emblems on their car to make others believe that they are driving an S4. Perhaps there are individuals that are into collecting emblems? What do you think?It is also apparent that the emblems can be removed more easily than we might believe.
