stoptech vs stock brakes....
I was wondering how much difference the stoptech or any big brake kit makes with stopping distances. Are the primary benefit of a BBK just that they will stand up to high performance driving better? Will they also improve my ability to stop in an emergency in street driving or is that more dependent on the tire?
Also, does the ABS system need to be reprogrammed for a BBK or will it function normally and safely?

what are you looking for?
more stopping power (shorter distances)? try more aggressive pads and/or stickier tires...throw in some stainless lines and better fluid for better feel...
if you're having problems with fade on the track, try getting some cool air to the brakes (brake ducts)...make sure your pads and fluid are designed to work at the higher temps seen on track
stock brakes just not cutting it on the track? you've tried different pads, fluid, ducting, etc, etc and you're still killing brakes...might be time for a bbk
going for that cool bbk look on da streetz? bbk ;-)

def going to use it on the track. I want something reliable for track use. I was more wondering
if the BBK added any free bonuses for street driving or was it mainly consistent power under high performance driving.
What brake fuild would you reccomend when I did get the BBK installed. I am getting the stoptech steel lines installed for both front and back.

i just use ate typ 200 (clear version of super blue)...i've never had any issues with boiling it and it's cheap (i go through a lot of it keeping fresh fluid in the car)...
a friend keeps trying to sell me the high dollar stuff (he sells brake stuff) so i might give in and try some one day, lol...
as for free bonuses with a bbk, it will most likely make pad changes a LOT easier (never changed b6 s4 pads though)...also there are usually a lot more pad choices, at least with stoptechs there are...
