Im not saying that the mod WILL or DID cause a problem. The point is, that you dont want to give a dealer any excuse to blame a natural problem with the car, on a mod. Get it in your head. You can state all the consumer protection BS laws, but Id like to see you go up against AoA when they blame a mod for some failure. And it would be easy for a picky dealer to blame the SS for a tranny or shifting problem. Think about it, you opened up the shifter and replaced it with another part. Even if you just opened it up to remove the stock shifter and put the stock one back in, they could STILL blame you for screwing things up.

It's his car and he's an adult. He doesn't have to lie to his dealer to get his car repaired. And since it's his car, you don't have to worry about it. Go enjoy your stock car and leave him alone.
