Default STS Turbo Kit POSSIBLE for B6/B7 Audi S4

Hey guys i have been in recent correspondence with STS, a turbo manufacturing company. They deal with installing remote turbo systems in cars. They told me that it is infact possible to install a UNIVERSAL REMOTE TURBO in our V-8 S4's!!! How good is this news.

For all your remote TURBO needs!!!

Default Just doesn't seem like a good idea to me. I'm no expert, but I would think....

you'd lose something having the compressor side of the turbo so far from the intake manifold. The B5 S4 guys should weigh in on this.

Interesting, but the SC seems like a better approach.

Default Yep, you lose a lot of the exhaust energy by placing the turbo that far away.

Basically in the form of lost exhaust temperature and velocity. Supercharger is a much better alternative.

Default They seem to be gaining popularity with the LS/LT1 crowd...

and I would give it a look if I was in the market to FI my $3000 block powered GM.

But for the S4? I'm gonna need to see some actual installs and data before I take that chance. There's a little more cash on the line if things don't work out as planned.

Default I feel the same way. I mean, the engine should be fine with the FI...

If an 11.0:1cr Chevy engine can handle 5 - 7lbs of boost, I'm sure ours can too. But, I don't feel like being a guinea pig today.
