Default Taking at least 350lbs off my ride, will it make a very noticible difference?

I'm tired of my car being so heavy, so new rims, BBK, suspension, LW battery, seats, the works are being done.

Before I order all this stuff you guys think I'm wasting money? I mean what kind of performance gain can I really expect from taking 10% of the cars weight off?

Here is the break down of weigh savings

Rotational mass

Wheels
-40lbs over stock
Brakes
-20lbs over stock
Total -60lbs rotational mass

Unsprung weight
BBK Calipers
-10lbs
Coilovers
-10lbs
Total -20lbs unsprung weight

Static weight
Seats
-180lbs
LW Battery
-45lbs
Spare Tire
-53lbs
Total - 278lbs

Total savings 358lbs

Any other ideas to save weight?

No I'm not getting an Sti,

Default Simpliest way to look at it

Take the total weight of the car before and after the deit divide it by the hp of the car (340). Now compare those numbers to the weight/hp you get if you buy a set of dp or a chip. Rotating weight will have more effect and any simplistic eq to tell you how much is a guess. The real calculation involves MOI and squared terms, the rest are general ideas. If you take more weight out at the outside of the wheel it counts more than weight taken out at the hub. In the end only you can decide what is worth it to you.

Default I weighed my car with my mods...

Came in at ~3900lbs with a full tank of gas without me in the car.

Lighter rims, fullback exhaust (definitely a lot lighter than stock), coilovers.

Not sure what a standard b6s4 6sp with heated seats comes in at though. I still want a LW battery.

Default Probably Status Racing Ring Seats

I figure with the weight savings and APR SC I'l be putting out anywhere from ( depending on weather 450 or 500hp) 7.9-7.1lbs per hp. Not to bad eh?

Currently the car is at 10.8lbs per hp, with just weight savings and no engine mods 9.8lbs per hp.

Default do you not plan on putting seats back in the car?? what kind of seats are going to save 180lbs??

have you weighed this stuff, or are these estimates?? lw batteries are great, but how much does the oem battery weigh; i assume about 60 pounds if you think you can save 45 pounds. sounds great; a 10% weight reduction is huge if you can achieve it so easily?? how about bumper beams??

Default Stop going to McDonalds and cut on donuts....

but seriously, you will improve handling. Same time you should get coils and swaybars. This is what really helps
