Default Re: Same price or even closer I would have gotten a beautiful silver B7 Avant.

Default Overboosted steering...

If you are not too happy with the overboosted steering, simply yank out the servotronic fuse.

I did and it feels much better. The steering seems to give you much more feedback. :-)

Default oh much! It feels much more "sporty"

If you look inside your fuse box - behind the small fuses and toward the front of the car, you'll see (sort of) 3 larger fuses.
The one in the "middle" is the servotronic and it has the number 641 on it

Default I'll try it - shouldn't screw up any other electronics if I remove it?

and if I decide to replace it?

Default There isn't any error codes thrown with it removed..

And yes - it is easily replaced and you're back to "normal"

Let me know how you find it...

Default on thing you probably did not look at

did you look in the trunk of the BMW I hated the RFT's. also the trunk is so small in the bmw that you cannot even put the bars for the roof rack in there it has to go in the back seat.

I have had may clients in the back seat of both cars and I always get complements on the S4.

as for the tip S4 vs. 6spd S4 both are great for as much driving as i do i like the tip. but the 6spd is great on the track!

Default Yes

The BMW trunk seemed about as long, but was shallower. Ironic considering the S4 has a full spare in there too.

I don't expect this to be a track car (yet anyway), so I don't know how much I'll be missing out on.

Thanks for the feedback.

Default Re: What I really dislike about the 335, no dipstick on the engine for checking oil levels...

I considered purchasing the 335xi, but the lack of dipstick and spare tire was a huge minus. I love the S4 but the 335 needs to live near a dealership. I now term BMW the "Ultimate Dealership Machine"....

Cheers,

Chuck
