Default Is there any way to disengage the rain sensing wipers?

I find it very annoying, they never seem to work at the right speed, especially when it is intermitttently raining or drizzling outside... Is there any way to just get the wipers to work in normal mode?

-Fast
-Slow
-Sensing
-Off
-Single Wipe

Default I seem to recall VW guys doing this by swapping some kind of module.

You might do some research to see if another model (like maybe a B6) has non-sensing wipers that you could swap with.

Default Well you have the sensor sensitivity control... or you could simply turn them off...

The sensitivity control is part of the wiper on/off control.... and the rain sense is one click up... so one click back down to "off" disengages it....

I've been using mine now for 3 years and they've worked beautifully...

Leave it in the "off" position? It's not rocket science...

That's what I do and it works initially, but after 5 minutes, it's back to the original setting..

...either there's a problem with the sensor, or perhaps your windshield in that area is dirty?
