Hi guys,
I recently installed a Fast Intentions fullback exhaust and a Carbonio CAI around the same time. At first, the performance of my car was improved. Throttle response was greatly improved. I could definitely tell during double-clutch downshifts. A little tap on the gas would kick up the revs significantly. However, this doesn't seem to be the case anymore. First, the other night I did a full throttle run through the first three gears, and when I peaked around 6800 rpm (3rd gear) I let off the gas quickly and put the car in neutral. However, the revs dropped rapidly and the engine actually stalled while I was moving! Today I tested this out further. I noticed that the revs wouldn't kick up and there was lag on the throttle response during double-clutching. So, I had to give it more gas to match up my rpms. Just to see, I put the car in neutral and revved it quickly, and the rpms dropped to an alarmingly low level once I was off the gas (about 400 rpm). I don't remember my car ever doing this before. The only thing I can think of is the ECU is mixed up right now with the air/fuel curves due to the much colder temperatures we've been having around here (CT) lately. FYI, in both cases the temperature was near 20 degrees and my engine was fully up to temperature and had been running for approx. 1 hour. Does anyone have any ideas on what might be happening here? Many thanks in advance.

His shouldnt' be exhaust, unless somehow something's clogged up in there, which wouldn't happen without a CEL...
The CAI he has, I have no experience with it, and that just doesn't seem reasonable either.
I'd say a batch of bad gas

not just engine mods either. maybe these finicky german machines don't like to be messed with...in general.

I only get 93 from Mobil, but this time I filled up at some ghetto Mobil in Rhode Island. Maybe that has to do with it. Could have been that the gas was just delivered before I arrived. Usually when that happens the sediment @ the bottom of the storage tanks get stirred up. Should I get some fuel injector cleaner?
