Default My observations after reading your post, and a question

So this morning I tested my car the same way you described.
Shifted up thru 3rd, clutch in, Neutral, clutch out.
The first few blips of the throttle responded ok, then the response went flat, hardly rev'd at all.
Back in gear, throttle in and all seems fine.
So mine acts like yours but I never noticed.

My question is, what real world driving experience does this simulate ?

I have never had the car fail to respond to throttle when I needed it.
If it wasn't for all the talk on this board about DBW I think it would be a non issue to me.
thanks and drive safe

Default here here, Just installed my Carbonio and I get a check engine light that goes on and off...

I will last on for about day and a half, then it will go out about the same amount of time. VAG'ed it and it came up as that the "S" is running too rich.
Anyhting like this happen to anyone?

Default The no response while not in gear coasting seems to be the way its made...

Not sure if its gas conservation or what but don't think something is wrong. Its just the way Audi made it. My LR3 has the same type of throttle lag-its annoying!

Default Are you running any software? It appears that the new plumbing has most def changed...

Your A/F ratio and your ECU can't compensate enough to correct. if you don't have a CEL than everything is fine-thats a good thing. Your ecu may need an upgrade (software re-map) or your O2 sensors aren't doing their job but, that would most likely send a CEL. Are you experiencing any pinging? Is it running hot? Sounds like a lean running condition....

Default good point, this does not simulate real world driving...

but it just doesn't seem to be something that should happen. But what is strange is that my revs used to kick up with a lot less gas when I first had the mods installed. Now, it takes a lot more to bring the revs up when matching.

Default I am running on the stock ECU, no chips...

my engine is not running hot to my knowledge: the coolant temp has been fine...what would I be looking for to know if there was pinging (not sure what that is)?

Default

could it be a MAF problem even though I'm getting no CEL?

Default Re: I am running on the stock ECU, no chips...

under hard accel listen for a "pebbles in an empty soda can" sound. It also could happen at low revs under load - 4th gear @ 35-40 mph but with the new exhaust you'll never hear it. I think ( key word think) that your air fuel ratio mix is off and needs more fuel. Your stock programming may not be able to accomodate this "new" mix. If you go to the dealer theyre just going to give you a hard time because of the upgrades. Look for a REVO dealer, they offer trials for software. You have basically hugely increased the intake and exhaust airflow. Now of course, you may have or someone may have left off a necessary airflow piece to your intake but still think you'd see a check engine light. Just my 2 cents....

Default thanks

if I go back to a stock airbox with a K&N panel filter would there be a chance that I would have the same problem?
