Default Tiptronic power Handling / 444 ft.lb ?

Maybe some hope for Supercharger on Tiptronic?

I've asked before about the power handling of the new 6 speed tiptronic but no one really knew yet.

I just decided to see if any new info was available on this subject and found this.

I'd believe it. They are using the S4 6-speed manual in the Champion's RS6's.

Default correct Load tested by them up to 600HP, they run them around 520 in the races....

depending on how much of a restriction they have in the air intake. Right now they run around 500 but they say it will hold up into the 600ish range. Which doesnt suprise me at all. Gonna eat syncros though if you dont upgrade them. Oh and clutches too

Default S4 manuals in ALMS Cars are Fine

Gallati and Probst have both said the S4 manuals are great...no problems. The only issue they have with their cars are front suspension components that need to be replaced ($1,000 a pop) after every race.

Default yup the tie ends and control arms are very brtitle in those cars.....

The only mods to our tranny is new syncros and a new clutch. Everything else is identical.

Default Syncros are a major part of the tranny...

that's the one thing I would suspect in our trannies holding more power. The speed gears themselves I have no issue with, it's the soft syncros.
