Tire pressure question?

Tire pressure question?
I checked my tire pressure this weekend after I rotated tires (stock Conti's) they were all @ 35. They were rotated a few months ago @ dealer, not sure if they adjusted the pressure like that or not. So I looked on the door and it said for 3 passengers it s/b 39F 35R. I drive with 1 person 99% of the time, so I set them @ 38F 34R. It made a big diff. (feels stiffer) by adding only 3 lbs. more to fronts and reducing rear by 1lb. How does 38F and 34R sound?
