When driving my car normally, my transmission keeps popping out of second gear on its own. Why is this happening?
It only started about a week ago, and not everyday. but now its happening almost once or twice a day.
i called audi and they said they have to take apart the tranny and its gonna be about a week and that it might be my fault!!!
this is not my fault and if they try not to warranty this, i will flip.
any ideas?

hope not!!!!
How many miles do you have on the car. What is your style of driving. Have you done any hard launches????
Make sure you take it to a dealer who is willing to work with you if it is ****ed, even if you have to drive a couple hours. Where do you live. If you are in LA, i know someone at and audi dealer who can take care of you.

Not a new situation for the 04's
A bad gear 2nd gear selector pack could make it jump out of gear.
Hope it works out for you.
If you have a Short Shifter I suggest removing it before the dealer visit, just as a precaution, not as a cause of your problem.
Thanks JD for keeping the page alive !<ul><li><a href="http://www.dejong947.com/audi/tsb/tsb.html">JDBlue's Excellent TSB page</a></li></ul>

i rarely floor it, and usually shift around 4,000. i never really drop it from 5 to 3 and punch it.
i do sometimes have aspirated driving, who doesnt? but i do not beat the hell out of this car cuase i know its so fragile.
i only have 16,000 miles on the car. i want to find a good dealer.
i live in pittsburgh and i usually go to sewickley audi, but i can tell from their tone that they are very skeptical of covering this problem.
any suggestions would be great

several people have had tranny problems on here....the first one is usually covered. however, the amount of **** you have to go through will vary from dealer to dealer. Some are just *******s and will give u a tough time...
I would suggest you to go on the reagional forum and ask for a friendly dealer....good luck

Since you've been given an indication that the nutjob at this dealership may blame it on you, take it somewhere else, but call the service manager first and tell him that he just lost a customer due to that fruitcake wanting to blame you for something that you had nothing to do with.
