treo 755p
I've used treo 650, 700, and 755p with audi bluetooth. I'm happy to report the 755 works perfectly, even better than the 650. The 650 had only one flaw.. It wouldn't connect with the car until and unless the phone was awakened from a sleeping state.. In other words, until you either received a call or text message, or touched a button on the phone and turned off keyguard so it stayed awake for a few seconds, the phone wouldn't connect. Once connected, it stayed connected and worked well. This forced me to always remove the phone from my pocket and 'wake it up' every time I started my car to get it to connect.. The 700p was horrible. Didn't import full favorites list, but a wierd 'sample' of your favorites. Didn't connect without being awakened like the 650. Displayed incorrect data on cars display whenever an incoming call was received. The screen on the 700p would stay lit the whole time the car was connected whether on a call or not draining phone battery... If you hit the power button on the treo to put the phone to sleep and dim the screen, it would usually disconnect after 15 seconds. It really sucked..
755p works perfectly. Car and phone sync within seconds of starting the car and stay synced the whole time.. Phone will awaken for a few seconds during the connection process, but then return to sleep unless you receive or initiate a call. Incoming caller id correctly displayed on cars screens. Entire favorites list imported every time. I've not detected a single flaw or malfunction in the performance of the 755p with the audi bluetooth system. I am sooo happy now.. Please share this info with other frustrated treo owners, especially 700p owners..

Good to know, although my 650 doesn't have an issue connecting to the car.
It wakes up as soon as I turn on the car. Occasionally, it can take up to a minute before it wakes up and connects, but most of the time it connects within a few seconds of the ignition turning on. I do have the latest hardware and firmware. I know earlier models and firmware had lots of bluetooth issues.

Re: good info.. my 700 sucks
Yes the 755 will import all your 'favorites', not all your contacts.. Just the ones you place in the favorites pages..
Also, I have a connection with sprint where I always get the newest models of the phones, and indeed I had a very new 650.. I originally used it on a parrot car kit, and it wouldn't connect without being 'awakened' on that unit either.. I did update the software with no changes.. It is likely a hardware change mid-production explains why mine wouldn't connect instantly like your 650's did, but I'm glad to learn sprint is always trying to improve bluetooth connectivity, and in the case of the 650 improved it midstream...

I did have a very early production run of the 650, and it wouldn't connect without being awakened to a parrot car kit i had either. It did have the newest firmware update.. Likely sprint changed the hardware slightly during production that allowed yours to connect even when 'asleep'.. Good to know..
