True or False: No B6s came with NavPlus from the factory, it was a 2005.5+ only.

All B6 A4/S4 models in Australia could be optioned with the Nav Plus.
Early in the B6 model's release you could option the RNS-D (CD based Nav) and later on in the model cycle (around mid/late 2004, when the MY05 was introduced?) you could option the RNS-E (DVD based Nav).
It was an expensive option though (around $8.5k AUD) so you don't tend to see many A4s in particular with a factory fit Nav.

The B6 cab design carried over until the B7 cabs came out, so they had some of the B7 technology (like the RNS-E) in them

*In the U.S.* the only nav system available for the B6 was the cluster display. But in the rest of the world there were a couple other options. In the Asian market there was a full MMI system available that most have never seen. In European and other countries the RNS-D was available.

Europe models first:
RNS-E was first introduced in the B6 model in Europe. The B5 in europe had RNS-D. The B6 STARTED with the RNS-D that was commonly found in the B5 and somewhere in 2004 they made the change over. Keep in mind the B6 S4 was also sold as a 2003 model, while the US had no 2003 model of either B5 or B6 S4.
In the united states things were different.
The B5 was only available the Center cluster display Navigation system. (it might have been called RNS-C i forget) The B6 was the same exact way, same system color screen would really be the only major difference. The B5 S4's also had slight variations of the cluster based systems when comparing 2000 to 2002. (the discs were formatted differently)
The United States did not see RNS-E Navigation until the B7 model was introduced mid 2005. What was discovered early on was that it was very easy to retrofit the RNS-E back into the B6 S4 as all you needed was vagcom and some harness adapters. Since it was so easy you'll commonly see a lot of B6 s4's with RNS-E retrofitted.
In terms of the Convertible S4's they also didn't truely see RNS-E until early to mid 2005.
RNS-E Also turned up stateside in the last year or so of the Audi Allroad.
