My VIN was 103142 and I had the problem but I read the TSB as AFTER 112878 are suspect?

no before.... they put an updated part in 112878 and later.....

Default Thanks guys, spoke to my service tech yesterday

and asked him about doing the fix proactively before I have any problems (my VIN starts with 113). Basically, I was told that's not gonna happen. He told me that this fix was only to be done once the car exhibits problems. But now that I see the TSB I don't see anything like that in the text. Were there any other attachments to the bulletin stating this?

From what I read, they will only fix it if you start showing problems.

I read it as everything beyond that tranny prod # and on is suspect.

but I read "Optimized selector cylinder locking bushings beginning" as the actual part to be worried about, not as an "updated" version.

Default Doesn't make sense...

Once the ball bearings are out, you're screwed and they need to replace the entire transmission. Should just have a recall.
