Default twin turbo v8 s4 b6

I was just wondering if anyone knows someone or has done this before i am just about done getting all the parts together to make this twin turbo kit possible but i am trying to decide if i should rear mount the turbos or put them right under the header? they are a balistics t3/t04e turbos so i am going to be tight for room!

well i have already done everything suspension and have the ecs stage 5 brakes and labree header back exhaust which i will have to change depending on were i put the turbos. but i also have the oil stuff like a sandwitch plate and lines and fitings. i also have all the piping i will ever need and some of the fittings for that. and a 22"x11"x3" intercooler with 2 inlets and 2 out. i still need a few things! lol

Default If you feel comfortable mounting underneath....go for it, otherwise protect you investment...

...and try and mount them within the confines of the engine bay.

ya i was thinking that would be the best way. i have seen a few of those STS turbo kits and it seems like there is 2 much that could get hit lol

Default You just have to be careful....that's all, there is no single best way to do it...

...if you are cramped for space, then mount them underneath.

Over the summer I saw a 90 coupe with a 3.6 L V8...twin setup...it fit. Watch out for road kill and pot-holes...you should be fine.

Default You will need to take mounting location into account when selecting the turbo...

the rear mount turbos will have to be sized much different then those mounted to the manifold. What are you doing for fueling and programming out of curiousity? What parts do you have together thus far?

Default This is being worked on by a couple very competent shops. My questions...

What are you doing to lower compression? And how much boost are you planning?

Default I'd love to show up at my local Audi dealer for service.....

...with that motor stuffed into a stock looking S4 and tell the service writer:

"It makes a loud roar when I step on the gas hard, and the tachometer needle keeps bouncing off the red zone before I can shift gears. Can you fix it under warranty please? Oh, and I need the wiper blades replaced."

Great looking motor!

Bruce
