I'm doing some research and I want your opinions.
What would you look for in the "perfect" aftermarket shop?
A place where you can get upgrades to your car, a place to hang out, etc
Besides labor cost, what are things that you are looking for. this could be building design, lighting, tools, location, etc etc

i was thinking of the same idea~!!
design - find an architect friend. design something out of this worldly unique. see if it can be done. with a discount.
)
lighting - use natural resources like the sun! windows that shine upon the cars like god.
tools - im not a car freak, so i wouldn't know. high quality tools (since you're working on high quality cars). promote one brand -- become a sponsor and get free tools yielding lower initial capital.
location - hey, i guess dallas seems like a good start for the first shop. think about perfecting and expanding.
name and slogan - be clever and must work hand in hand!
specialize in 2 or 3 makes first. high quality upgrade shops are hard to find in my opinion.
as for a hangout you can try a smoothy shop, perhaps cocktails and bar. also something i would have for sure is a hydraulic lift for people who want to work on their own cars. pay per hour of use. they must bring their own tools. have a few rooms like this. then they can walk over to the bar and get some beer. perfect.
hope this helps. if not, i just wasted essential time! gtg bye!
