his was the starter at first and then a wire that was layed over his new downpipes later IIRC.

Default yes and no...it ended up being the either the solenoid or the relay. The wire that fried from being

near teh DPS was that which goes to the motor speed sensor. It's clearly visible and if its resting on the DPs either move it or insulate it.
