Super-clean, 'no muss-no fuss' kinda' deal, sure--but my God---almost 90 minutes to get all the oil out? Ya gotta be kidding me. Kept the pressure up on her, even removed the filter first and opened up the fill spot to relieve air pressure---STILL went unbelievably slow.
I had expected to be done in like 20/30 minutes all told, like usual. Here I am at almost 2 hrs, just now finishing up. Sheeesh.
I think these babies are a bit over-rated. I'd almost just as soon get her up in the air and pop the drain plug, traditional style!
But at $21.67 for the 5-gallon jug of Castrol Syntec full synthetic 5W/30a t friggin' Walmart, ya kinda' can't go wrong, ya know?
Next tool for me is a scissor auto lift----some can be had for just over a thou----gets the car up in the air about 4.5 ft----plenty enough for this, inspecting all the running gear.....building the rear-mount turbo...I better shut up before the Mrs reads this thread..

I bought the Pela Pro14 and it works great. It looks like you bought the smaller one and needed to dump it out 2-3x to complete the extraction of 9.5 quarts.
With the larger model, it works in about 15 minutes.

No---it only extracted app. 1.5 full jugs of oil before just sucking mostly air...hope
that's not a problem! But no, It only filled up 1.5 times pretty much all told, with the car fully level. After that, it's just sucking air and a tiny bit of oil.
Factory manual says 9.5qts have to go back in...

Mine takes 15 minutes max to drain the entire sump on the S4
And even less time on the TT and Passat and the Escape. Did you warm the oil up first? Yes, you will need to drain the 6000 once before it extracts all 9.5 qts of oil.
Do a search, others report about 10 minutes for a 5 quart sump.
I've used the Pela for about 5 years on several cars, and it has worked well on all of them. No special steps, no jacking up of a corner of the car required.
Houston, you have a problem...

My MityVac is much quicker, but here are some tips:
-The oil needs to be warm.
-Filler open, filter open (but you already knew that).
-Move the tube around and make sure you have a perfect seal over the dipstick tube.
-Once you have several QT's out, jack the passenger rear side up, it will help the oil collect in the best spot possible.
Without warm oil and a great seal, it can take a while, but my oil change (on tuesday) took about 30 minutes. All that said, that Pela might just be a POS.
