Default Vibration

Some of you may remember my post regarding a funny vibration at 85 MPH. Deler verified the problem and said the tires/wheels were sent for force balancing. Has anyone heard of this and should I be asking for new tires (car has 2200 miles)? Just want to make sure there is no potential for supsension/component damage. Thanks.

Default yes, it's called Road Force balancing..

that's making sure the wheel and rim are balanced together. The tire itself can have excessive road force, most of the time it's because it's out of round...but that happens and there is a tolerance built-in per manucturer's specs.

It's ok. I always have mine road forced and balanced. Make sure they use a Hunter.
