like new again. I don't have an orbital buffer and I'd like a good recommendation for hand applications; although I might get a porter cable in the future. TIA.

Default Hand applications will likely limit you to "filling" swirls rather than eliminating them

To effectively use an abrasive polish, you really need the speed and heat that a machine can create. You'll lose your arm before you can generate an equivalent amount of speed by hand. So, you'll need to find products that fill the swirls rather than remove them (in matter of fact, nearly all consumer-grade products are fillers rather than abraders).

A fantastic lineup for hand applications is the one Troy lists in his Detailing FAQ: Clay bar, then P21S GEPC (a chemical cleaner), then 3M Imperial Hand Glaze (a car-show type filling glaze), then a wax of your choice. The Detailing Forum favorite waxes are P21S and One Grand Blitz (P21S shines better, Blitz lasts longer). You can get the whole set up from Larry at carcareonline.com. Troy's How-To is now linked from the top of the Detailing Forum page. Its worth a read if you are new to detailing.

Default I use menzerna polishes. they work very well by hand to remove swirls.

final polish if the swirls are not bad. Intensive polish if you need something a little more abrasive. If you use intensive polish, you must follow it up with final polish. I have great results using it on a black car by hand. I assume it would be even better with a porter cable or the like.

not sure where to find it for the best price. If you find a good deal please let us know.
Here is where I got it.
