I did the same, swapped a M540 for a S4.......bottom line is your fuel cost is going to go up, but so will your enjoyment of driving.........and remember you do not buy a 340HP, 300lb of torque @ 3500 V8 for fuel economy!.

after 953 miles (as of this morning).
I'm on my 4 th tank,
first tank bout 256 miles (but not empty)
second tank, bout the same (but not empty)
Third tank, bout 236 miles (just about empty)
This tank, tracking about 220ish.
Long story short, the car is opening up more, but so is my foot. My guess is that if I can get bout 230 out of a 15 gallon tank at $38.25 per fill, that's pretty good. My around town driving is teh SUCK! (bout 11mpg, b/c of seattle's hills). ON the highway it's better, bout 18 mpg, but I haven't really "PUSHED" the car yet as I'm not done with breakin. Time will tell.
my best guess.
City 12MPG
Highway 17MPG
that's HONEST.

Flip the display to current/instant MPG while coasting downhill. Imprint on that. Then, flip the display back to trip time (or some other safe display). You'll feel better. For God's sake, NEVER monitor the trip MPG. It will make you drive like Auntie Bertha, mang. Don't do it.
