With gas fluctuating daily I've been driving lower than a full tank - any idea how much is left in the tank after computer says "0".

... not wanting to drain it completely -

so, 2.5 gallons for my car, but each car will vary because some people have run out of gas when it says 0 to empty or even before it indicates being empty, if I remember correctly.

when you hear it scream "beeeeeeeep" you got two (2) gallons to play wit.

not eggszactly, but close enough to figure you need to fuel up soon if you're at 20-22 mpg's.

If it's at 0, you should be immediately on your way to fill up.

In addition, I've filled up at -0 and put in 16.5 once, on a 16.7 gal tank

This car is sensitive to running out of gas.

My fuel filter took a beating a few weeks ago when I risked it not filling up on way home. I ran out of gas the next morning backing out of the driveway. I was able to fill it up but fuel pump was screaming at me due to clogged filter.

$0 at Audi of Rockville to fix that one.

depends on your model year. early 2004 was 17.4 total, 2.4 reserve (at zero miles left)
