Default Wheel fitment when lowered...?

Hello all,

Been reading all the old posts but did not really find an answer to my specific question. I'm getting ready to get some wheels and have pretty much decided on a wheel size of 19x8.5 with a 38mm offset running Michelin Pilot Super Sports. I will be doing suspension in the not so distant future as well but the tire/rim upgrade will be first. Suspension will probably be Stasis or possibly PS9's.

Do you think I will have a rubbing problem if I run the previously mentioned wheel set-up with 235/35's if I only plan to lower it a bit?

I seemed to find that a 245 would surely rub but what about the 235's?

I can order any offset I want on the wheels I'm considering...Does the 38mm offset sound correct?

Based on calculations versus the stock wheels I will be getting 1mm additional inside clearance and extending the wheel edge out 13mm.

Thanks!

If you add 19" wheels you will most likely need to shave off the bolt that holds the fender liner to the top of the wheel well. Its the center one.

Then...if you lower the car, you will most likely need to roll the front fenders.

Not necessarily. 235.35.19 is 25.4" vs. 235.40.18 which is 25.4"

no change in height or the width of the tire.

It's more to do with overall wheel/tire combo height...and even then it has to do with the type of tire, and the degree to which it is lowered.
