When will the S4 get the FSI?

Unfortunately I can see Audi right in the middle of the B7 S4's lifecycle changing the current engine to a new FSI engine. I don't know why Audi wouldn't offer the FSI engine in the S4 right away, however with their recent quick turn around on vehicles, I wouldn't be shocked to the later model B7 S4's get a V8 4.2 FSI engine.
Anyone have any thoughts?

Apparently, throughout the lineup worldwide, the 4.2L V8 will receive FSI for MY2007. In the following models, the 4.2L V8 with FSI will produce 360 hp and 310 lbs/ft of torque: S4, S5, A6, AllRoad and A7 (if this model is ever built). The 4.2L V8 with FSI will produce 420 hp and 317 lbs/ft of torque in the following models: RS 4, RS 5, Q7, A8/A8L and A9. In the following models, the redline for the 4.2L V8 with FSI will be 7,500 RPM: A6, AllRoad, A7, Q7 and A8/A8L. For the following models, the 4.2L FSI V8 will have an 8,250 RPM redline: S4, S5, RS 4, RS 5 and A9. In the A6, AllRoad, A7, Q7 and A8/A8L, the peak hp will be available at 7,000 RPM; peak torque available at 3,000 RPM for the A6, AllRoad and A7 and 3,000-4,000 RPM for the Q7 and A8/A8L. In the S4, S5, RS 4, RS 5 and A9, peak hp will be available at 7,750 RPM; peak torque will be avilable at 5,500 RPM. Of course, the RS 4 and RS 5 will be 200-300 pounds lighter than the S4 and S5, making the mere 60 hp gap and even more mere 7 lb/ft torque gap between the S4 and RS 4 and S5 and RS 5 plenty sufficient, even with the same redline and even with the peak hp and peak torque available at the same RPM.

There has been no official word on the A5/S5. Though I'm not doubting you, rather just asking where it came from.
I will admit a little B6 owners resent, why does Audi release a car only to change it a year or two later?

Such as the RPM as to when the peak hp and torque will be availble with the 4.2L V8 with FSI on different models as well as the redline with this engine on different models. But it makes perfect sense. However, most of what I said is fact. I believe that the upgrade from PFI to FSI for the 4.2L V8 on all models throughout the lineup worldwide for MY2007 is official. As of midnight on Sunday 1-1-06, new laws for petroleum and diesel fuels for North America will go into effect. These laws will require that all North American petroleum and diesel fuels are to have quantities of sulfur and other impurities that are either non existent, just as low as or lower than overseas petroleum and diesel fuels. Beyond Petroleum (formerly known as Amoco) already meets or exceeds these laws for excpetionally low or non existent quantities of sulfur and other impurities in North American petroleum and diesel fuels. All of this will help the FSI technology a lot.
