I remember reading something about subframe cracking issues on an Avant due to the added weight. Ripley's believe it or not?

Added weight of what? The H-Sport rear barely weighs 10#+/-.

1. Best cheap mod you can make to the S4
2. They weigh about as much as the stock sways but the ride difference is night and day.
Get a tuner to install them - this setup (H-sports F/R and wheels/tires is by Pfaff Tuning in Newmarket Ontario ...

Default I don't think there were any subframe crackin issues with B6 cars

Now with B5 A4/S4 sedans/avants..that is a different story.

Default buy directly from hsport. according to them no issues. only issues on b5 which have been

resolved with extra clamps.

According to the SA at Rusnak in Westlake there were 2 avants that came back with issues on the chassis.
He also had sways..NOT HSPORT....on his avant but was taking them off as he did not want to pay incase something happened.

With any mod you are taking a risk. That is the fact.
I think it is well worth it!

The weight differential between the sedan and wagon version is about 80 lbs IIRC.
