Default While I seach for a 12 volt relay for my DBW fix...

...your challenge, should you chose to accept, is to call up your service manager and inquire about this mysterious DBW re-flash that people are talking about. By the sound of it, it will make the work I'm doing obsolete, and all of us much happier drivers. I inquired with my tech; so did SecureS4...you all should do the same. Good luck!

Default Have you looked into something like this?

I'll bet you can call them and have them set it up to do a repetative "10 second on - 1 second off" cycle and ship it to you pronto.

As an Aside -- I haven't gone as far as disconnecting my switch but I have played with this. Two observations:

1) I don't notice a significant difference between clutch in and clutch out when hitting the accelerator on a roll -- both react about 500ms (1/2 sec) after I hit the accelerator

2) My clutch "trigger point" is so low that it causes slippage (I used the cruise control to determine how far I need to push the clutch to trigger recognition and if I nail it at this point, it slips)

Timer Kit

Default One of the things I discovered is that the clutch trigger point is adjustable!

There is a plunger that gets depressed when the clutch pedal is released--the "home" sensor. From the factory, I had to move the clutch pedal in about 2" to "un-press" the home sensor. However, while removing the entire apparatus, I accidentally pushed the plunger stick into the sensor body by about 3/4". I discovered detents (maybe 8 of them or so) on the plunger stick and each detent moves the stick a millimeter or two either way.

This is adjustable ONLY when the sensor is out of its mount though (it is a very cleverly designed sensor), so don't try to push the stick in unless you remove the sensor.

Anyway, needless to say, I now have the sensor adjusted so I have to depress the clutch pedal only about half an inch to activate the linear throttle map, and there is no NOTICEABLE clutch slip, but I still don't do it very often.

Thank you for the info, BTW--I'm working on it!
