Default sounds typical...

most modern high compression engines have some sort of forced induction when cold in order to meet emissions standards. (more air + rich fuel mixture == hot catalyst quicker)

Normal, Audis have done this for awhile... my 2001 225 TTQC had the same.

Default If you guys remember...I had the same problem

Thought it may have been a screaming bum on the side of the road (only happened twice, same bum twice too) but it went away.

Mine did it all the way home from work tonight...5 miles/10 minutes...just in the 2500-3000rpm range

Default Now that it is getting colder in the Northeast I hear the whistle every morning.

It goes away after three or four minutes of easy driving until the car warms up.

Default I think it's normal for the first 30 seconds or so of operation

It's because of the timing chain I think, it's very noticable on startup and when I pull out of my garage in the morning, it goes away after a block of driving though.
