The cost of a new B7 S4 + widebody parts, labor and paint would be too close to the price of an RS4
And even then, you are so close in price to the RS4, but without getting the engine/exhaust, suspension, wheels, etc. It simply doesnt make sense unless you found a B7 S4 for very cheap, got a 'hookup' on parts and did the work yourself.

why not a 6 speed manual? the only reason i never bought the last RS6 was for the
slushbox tranny
The RS4 is an easy manual to drive anyway. my 16 year old learned to drive it in minutes. Bogged a little at the first stop sign and never stalled again. If you want RS4 body buy an RS4.
