Default Sorry for not explaining properly... that is exactly what I meant, that the sidewalls are more
pliable, not the tread compound. The extra pressure will compensate for the softer sidewall. Thats what I understand anyways.

Default I don't get point (1) at all. It sounds like you check your pressures once a season.
I adjust mine weekly.
